There's this color. I see it everywhere I go. Its bright. Neon bright. And it's orange? Red? Pink? I don't know! It's all three. I'm going to call it "neon watermelon".
Closely-related "Traffic cone orange" had it's 5-minutes of fame recently (see Tom Dixon's Offcut bench, for one of my favorite examples.) But now seems to be ceding the spotlight to it's pinkier cousin.
I first spotted neon watermelon when Margot bought a bkr glass + silicone water bottle in "rocket". Then I saw it on a sweater displayed in the window of Smith street's new Splendid boutique. (A sweater that required me to call on deep reserves of self-discipline not to purchase.) I knew it was officially a trend when very fancy and intimidating mid-century modern antiques dealer Wyeth in Tribeca had on display a Hans Wegner arm chair and a Robsjohn Gibbings triangular cocktail, both in neon watermelon.

Have a happy weekend! I'm heading out to Bridgehampton to do a client install in the morning. So excited to see months of planning realized. If you're curious about how it comes together, I'll plan to post a few snapshots on instagram.
